Two children smiling at the camera, outdoors with a blurred background of trees and people. Early childhood and upbringing. my story and how my life and inspiration to lifestyle started.

hey there, I’m Charlie!

I’m 28 years young and grew up in a small-ish city near Berlin, Germany. I have three siblings, each with their own unique character. We’re all so different! I was loud, expressive, and very active as a child, which wasn’t always appreciated, especially in school. I didn’t like school—or at least most of it. I spent a big chunk of my early childhood dancing, acting, and horse riding. As I got older, I continued to try different sports and hobbies. I would often get bored quickly and wanted to try something new.

My parents worked a lot, but we still managed to go on trips to amazing places like the Dominican Republic, Greece, Spain, Austria, and the USA. As I grew older, I realized that I’ve always felt happiest when I’m in warmer climates, near the ocean. I wasn’t a big fan of the idea of spending my early 20s at university or in an apprenticeship. I was hungry to explore the world.

So, I started planning my first long trip, applied for a Work and Holiday visa for Australia, and planned to spend a few weeks in Indonesia before heading there. Once I finished my senior high school degree, I packed my backpack and left for the first time in July 2016. I immediately fell in love with the island life and surfing.

Fast forward nine years, a lot of traveling, and living in different places around the world. I met my soulmate in Indonesia, got married, and migrated to Australia. I’m now living in the beautiful Gold Coast, and we’re expecting our first baby. There’s so much more to share, and I’ll do so in future blog posts.

Thank you for being here and joining my journey.

xoxo, Charlie
