Our Pregnancy Announcement: The Journey So Far

Hello everyone!

I’m so excited to finally share the news — I’m pregnant! We found out in October last year, and it’s been a rollercoaster since then. We decided to keep it to ourselves at first, waiting until the 12-week mark to tell anyone. Honestly, the first trimester was a bit lonely. You’re not supposed to tell anyone yet, but your body is changing, and you’re expected to keep up with life as usual — which isn’t easy when you’re feeling off!

I couldn’t hold it in forever, though, so I told one of my closest friends around week 10. It felt like such a relief to finally share the news with someone. After that, we slowly started telling family, trying to catch everyone’s reactions without giving anything away — which was trickier than I thought with different time zones!

We had planned to tell PJ’s parents in person, but after trying (and failing) to make it happen, we finally told them over FaceTime in mid-January. At first, I was a little bummed, but now I’m glad we had that extra time to ourselves before going public.

And then came the social media announcement. WOW. I had no idea how emotional I would feel posting it. The amount of love and excitement we received from everyone was overwhelming in the best possible way. It was such a special feeling to know that so many of you were sharing in our joy.

Now that the secret is out, I’m so excited to share more about this journey. Stay tuned for updates as I dive into the highs, lows, and everything in between!
